Gardens are beautiful, breath-taking spaces that many couples choose to use as the place where they begin their journey into the married life. The beautiful colours, the blooming flowers, and relaxing setting make it an ideal location to exchange wedding vows. Planning a garden wedding is very similar to any other wedding. However, there are a few unique situations and considerations you will have to make while planning your event. If you are planning a garden wedding for your upcoming nuptials, here are some of the things you will have to consider when making and planning your wedding.

The first thing you will need to consider is the timing of your wedding. All gardens have a peak time in which all the flowers are in bloom and the garden looks its prettiest. You will want to try to schedule your wedding around this time, as it will allow you to take advantage of the pretty flowers and beautiful setting. Many places that offer garden weddings will be able to tell you when the peak blooming time is for the garden that you choose. Spots may be limited if you have a particular garden in mind for your wedding. If a wedding during the garden’s peak time is important, make sure you inquire with enough time to get a prime spot.

The second thing you will need to consider is the size of your guest list. Many places that offer garden weddings will have a maximum capacity. The last thing you want to do is be disappointed if the space you pick only seats 100 people and you have a guest list of 300 people. Inquire about the maximum guest capacity before booking a location. This will help you know if it meets your wedding needs or not, and prevent disappointment in the future.

The last thing you will to consider is who is responsible for the equipment and decorations for the wedding. Garden weddings will typically require seating, an archway, and a tent in case it rains. Inquire with the garden location or the wedding planning service to discover who is responsible for renting or finding this equipment. Many wedding locations will provide the seating and the archway, but anything else is extra, while some locations might include everything you need for your wedding in your wedding package. In some rare cases, you may be responsible for finding and renting all equipment yourself.
