A dash diet is a very appealing thought to many people. Most people with extra unwanted weight feel very self-conscious and disappointed in themselves. They want to start a diet so that they can lose weight and look good and feel good about themselves. However, dieting can be hard. One has to learn to be very disciplined and stick to their diet. For many individuals this is a tough thing. Dieting takes a lot of focus and will power. One has to be dedicated to their diet plan in order to reach their goal.

There those that are unsatisfied with their weight in the first place because they enjoy eating and have a hard time controlling what they eat. Also there are those that hate exercise. These unhealthy habits can cause individuals weight gain. For them it is hard enough to resist the calories in the first place to keep off the pounds. However, losing weight is even harder than keeping off weight. Losing weight is a hard thing for many individuals, especially the ones that have bad eating habits and don’t exercise. If eating a lot is what caused the weight gain in the first place it can be hard to get over those habits and limit food intake. Some people have no self-control and can’t get themselves to stop eating. Some even start good but eventually they crash.

For that reason a dash diet is very appealing to many. They get the results they want and they get them quick. They don’t have to suffer through a long, hard, drawn out process of exercising and eating healthy and limiting the foods they intake. Many think a dash diet is appealing because they are not willing or not able to do the work necessary to go on a healthy diet.

Those that think a dash diet is appealing should really think about that option before participating. Yes, it is nice to see results quick. However, dash diets are not very healthy. For one thing, the individual will not get the nutrients they need. Also it can be harmful to the body to lose weight that quick. Another thing is that the results of a dash diet are hard to keep. If one loses weight quick they will more likely put it back on quick.

One needs to keep in mind that a dash diet can produce quick, satisfying results, but those results will not last. One should take their diet slowly and lose a healthy amount of body weight over a period of time.
