There are many types of Burglar alarm systems available to people; for example, monitored, unmonitored, hardwired and even wireless. There are also many security companies, which will install alarms for their customers. It really just depends on the preferences and even the budgets of the people to see which would fit them best.

For monitored Burglar alarm systems they are connected to security companies. These companies have alert systems, that when the alarms are triggered the representatives know that customers might be in need of assistance. When the systems go off the security teams will call the residents and ask if they are okay and if they sense that they are in danger, they can send patrol units to the houses. In the midst of emergencies if the customers are not able to respond after short amounts of time, they will send the cops to ensure safety.

Unmonitored Burglar alarm systems allow the residents to be in charge of their own security systems. The people install the units themselves and the alarms scare the intruders off with loud sounds, which alert nearby people and the residents. They can then call the cops if they feel like they are in danger. Basically everyone that chooses these alarms is in control of their safety and a lot of people choose these because there are no fees monthly.

Also there are hardwired and wireless Burglar alarm systems available. Security companies allow their customers to choose which systems are best for their homes. Hardwired systems have wires running through the walls or any other areas that are needed. Wireless of course allows the ease of no wires and even sometimes comes with a remote to arm and disarm the alarms. There are great advantages for both. With the wireless systems since there are no wires, if the residents decide to move, then can take their wireless alarms with them. People love to have choices.

When people choose which Burglar alarm systems to purchase, they need to consider factors; namely, whether monthly fees will fit into their budgets, installing the alarms by themselves vs. by the security companies and wireless or wires. There are positives for each alarm systems; it just depends on how much participation the people would like to be. The most important thing is that the residents can feel safe no matter what systems are installed and can sleep well at nights knowing they have good warning systems.
