It is a fact of life that as we get older, our skin begins to wrinkle. This stems from numerous causes. Aging is of course the main issue, but other factors such as sun damage, smoking, and not caring for your skin all take their toll. While we cannot control the natural aging process, we can control some of the other factors. This will help keep your skin looking younger for years to come. If the damage is already done, it is not too late. While aging cannot be stopped, the signs of it can be drastically reduced with the right products and possibly some lifestyle changes.

Before you start looking at wrinkle reducing creams, take a long hard look at your lifestyle. Do you protect your skin in the sun? Do you eat skin supporting foods? Do you smoke? Making necessary changes before you begin using any kind of wrinkles cream will help you better monitor your progress and ensure that the product works to its maximum potential. Some anti aging products are pricey, and there is no need to spend the money if a lifestyle choice is going to impede its success, thus wasting your time and your money.

When looking for wrinkle cream, you may notice that there are two broad categories. Day creams and night creams are both available. While some creams may pull double duty, there is something to be said for the separation. Night creams can be a little stronger because there is no need to remain light enough to apply makeup over. They can be a little heavier, and they can contain products that work best while your body is sleeping. Day creams can include sunscreen, but need to have a different texture than the night creams so that make-up can be applied comfortably. While the choice is personal, it may be best to use both types so as to reap the maximum benefits of whatever anti aging product you choose.

Look at the ingredients in any wrinkle cream you are considering. Day creams with vitamins such as A and D are good options. Thought they may not be listed as such, be aware of what other ingredients may be in them, such as wheat germ oil. A night cream with collagen is a must. aging skin does not produce as much collagen, and replacing can offer great benefits.
