The basic communication definition has seemed to become lost lately. This is because of all of the media and social networking that is available. People have forgotten how to respond to each other and talk. This is even more so in relationships. Not only working relationships but love relationships as well. Today, communication can be fast and we can respond and say things that we do not mean because we have not allowed ourselves to have time to think about our response. There are some basic principles to communication that we should always remember and know what the best possible steps are in communicating better with each other.

With the basic communication definition being passing on information from one person to another, there are many different types of communication. Verbal, non verbal, written and oral are all ways that we humans communicate with one another. For communication to work you do need three essential parts to it. First you need a sender. This is the person who is making the message. This can be in various forms such as writing, language and even gestures. Then, you need a receiver. Of course, this is the one who is taking the massage from the sender. Keep in mind that the receiver must be present in mind to actually hear or see the message and receive it. As stated before the message can be in various forms. This is the third and most necessary step to the communication process. Without the message there would be no communication. The message can be anything from a request and an order to an instruction and an idea.

Of course, to you, the communication definition may seem basic, but for others it is very complicated. As stated before, many today find it difficult to communicate properly, especially when it comes to face to face communication. This is because we tend to rely so much upon the internet and multimedia communication that we lose the real life communication abilities.

Try to look more into the communication definition and find out how you can better communicate. Not only with your co-workers, but more importantly with those who are your closest friends, your family and maybe even your significant other. You may find that through learning to communicate, you will actually enhance your relationships and even come to find true love that you have desperately been longing for and looking for.
